Philippe Honigman
CEO and Co-Founder
Philippe Honigman has over 20 years of experience in international business development and delivery of software products and services.
Philippe co-founded and served as President of SkyRecon Systems, a leading European, VC-backed software security vendor. Previously, Philippe led the Professional Services and Pre-Sales teams at Vignette Corp in Southern Europe. Philippe has founded several ventures in the IT industry and has provided expert consulting services to Fortune Global 500 enterprises such as Renault, Vivendi, Thomson, and Vodafone.
As a holder of a B.S. degree in Human Factors Engineering from Sorbonne (University of Paris), Philippe is passionate about human-computer interaction in all its forms. Philippe also holds an Executive MBA from HEC Business School. In 2007, he received the prestigious Mercure Entrepreneurship award from HEC, the leading European business school. In his rare spare time, Philippe loves playing music and dreaming about the next generation of Human Machine interfaces. He is also the happy father of three daughters.
Jonathan Siegel
Advisor and Co-Founder
Jonathan Siegel has been active in technology startups, services, and angel investing for 12 years.
Jonathan spent 10 years as the founder of ELC Technologies (acquired in 2010 by PriceGrabber’s Kamran Pourzanjani). While at ELC Technologies, Jonathan founded three Ruby on Rails product businesses: RightScale.com, RightSignature.com, and RightCart.com. RightScale is a leading cloud computing management platform. RightSignature is a profitable SaaS business serving marquee clients such as Farmer’s Insurance, Second Market Equities, and the American Bar Association. RightCart.com was founded as a copy-and-paste shopping cart platform that outperformed CPM and CPC units for monetizing product-related content sites. RightCart.com was acquired by Buy.com in 2007.
Jonathan frequently speaks on startup culture and cloud computing. He has been on Amazon’s Web Services customer advisory board since 2008. In 1998, Jonathan graduated with degrees in Physics and Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
As a father, Jonathan has founded five entities in the boyish, toddler space - as well as a startup specializing in cute/princess. He enjoys sharing the adventures of development with this burgeoning team. Jonathan is lucky to have a willing partner in crime and international co-founder - his wife of ten years.
Fabien Jakimowicz
CTO and Co-Founder
Fabien Jakimowicz is an expert in designing, implementing, and optimizing the performance of innovative Web architectures.
Fabien has conducted research in virtualization and in the design and production launch of hosting solutions for high availability, particularly in the field of distributed storage. He is also an expert of Ruby and its Rails framework, with particularly valued expertise in collaboration with Explocentre innovation labs of Orange Labs network.
Fabien is active in open source projects. He has contributed to Ruby on Rails and Ruby Connector for ShortURL to improve support for Web services (including support of JSON). He also participated in projects with Asset Packager Nanite to improve support for multi-threading and server. Fabien is a graduate of Epitech Paris.
Photography is one of Fabien's most beloved hobbies. He immensely enjoys shooting pure colors, geometrical shapes, and people on the fly with his Canon 30D camera.
Fabien is also an avid inline skater. He has been racing with his team in the 24 Heures du Mans formula-one circuit competition since 2006. Last year, he scored 93rd place out of 531 finishing teams.

Alli Dover
Marketing Operations
Alli Dover is a marketing and promotions specialist with over 13 years of experience. Alli conducts market research and writes, edits, and publishes marketing collaterals in order to build corporate presence and to generate public awareness of products and services. Alli is skilled in both online and offline business networking.
As a longtime enthusiast of the theoretical and the pragmatic approaches to the many forms of communication, Alli followed her heart in college and earned a B.A. degree in Communication with a Music Industry minor at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. She was trained at the USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism, one of the nation’s top communication and research institutes and one of the largest media and technology resource centers.
When Alli is not deeply absorbed in her research and writing, she enjoys working promotion and sales for live music events and different types of trade shows. She also loves to travel, solve crossword puzzles, and experience great pizzas.
Tim Mills
SharePoint Senior Hacker
Tim Mills is a SharePoint expert with over four years of experience in the design and implementation of collaboration solutions and the migration of legacy systems for businesses. He has worked with both large and small deployments, with the largest serving over 100k users. He actively contributes to the SharePoint community by posting on MSDN forums and publishing some of his work as open source information on CodePlex.
Tim is also a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), a keen ASP.NET developer who builds internally-ran applications. Previously, Tim worked with Ministry of Defence, Fujitsu, NHS and O2 Ireland.
Outside of work, Tim is devoted runner currently in training for the London Marathon 2011. With the company of his two brothers, Tim is also preparing for the Mongol Rally charity event, a journey from London to Mongolia by way of an old Nissan Micra. Mary Giachetti
Customer Operations, Southern Europe
Mary Giachetti speaks Italian, French, English and Spanish and holds a joint degree in Modern Languages and Business.
As part of ftopia's team, she is in charge of marketing and reselling operations for Southern Europe. She also takes care of coordinating localization process of the web site and the application, ensuring coherence of the multi-language versions. She herself translated the website and the application into Italian.
She is an avid traveler, curious and enthousiastic by nature.
Vincent Ardisson
Sync Senior Developer
Vincent Ardisson is a programming expert and a Linux and Open Source enthusiast. He holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from the Polytech University of Nice Sophia-Antipolis.
Vincent leads the development of our cross-platform synchronization capabilities. As soon as he finishes his day's work, he relaxes by immersing himself in books about the advanced programming and coding of personal projects in Python, C, and Java.
István Huszár
Web Designer
István Huszár is a Web designer with over 10 years of experience in his field. Based in Romania, István creates graphics and combines them with various Web technologies in order to produce beautiful, enticing page designs and interactive interfaces. His creative skills and his proficiency with Photoshop, Flash, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are invaluable assets to the services ftopia provides.
István was previously Creative Director at Skyline Creative and has worked with CamelWeb Creations. In his free time, István enjoys nurturing his inner-geek by reading fantasy novels and participating in board and role-playing games.
Bertrand Matge
Manager, Customer Operations
Bertrand Matge holds a dual degree in Business Management and in Systems and Network Engineering. Along his travels, Bertrand stepped aside from his business career path in order to pursue his greater interests in designing and customizing products to users’ needs.
As a product manager with a solid technical background, Bertrand is a firm believer that software products should be designed to cater to each user’s specific tasks and goals, not vice versa.
With a decade of experience in working with service companies and software vendors, Bertrand puts a lot of passion into the projects he takes on. He usually concludes each period of high-intensity with several weeks of solitary trekking.
Jürgen Kärcher

Jürgen Kärcher worked for many years as a cartographer, working on roadmap updates. In 1994, Jürgen started a new public relations agency with two journalists in Stuttgart. Working as an art director for his customers, he always felt the need for a professional document sharing solution that would save everyone time and effort...until he found it with ftopia.
When Jürgen leaves the office, he still has plenty more to do with his production and design work at Lokstoff!, the great theater company from Stuttgart. Lokstoff! takes the liberty of playing everywhere life exists - check them out if you're around!
